Rob John - Smile Like A Gem (Song Blog)
I go by Rob John who is a hiphop artist, and this is a blog, and description of my new song release titled Smile Like A Gem. I began to come up with this idea recently to write a song for independent woman around the world. The inspiration comes from my Mother who I look at to be the ideal independent woman. The phrase “Smile Like a Gem” which is the main title, and catch to the chorus of this song is a metephorical term that describes how she will brighten up the world with her joy, because of her persona. The lyrics to the verses speaks on important topics of womanhood, and is a great influence to young women as well. My aim is to spread a message of acknowledgement of independance to women, and to keep your value of who you are.
As I remember making the production behind this song, I began hearing a mellow, upbeat kind of vibe to this particular record. The guitar strings, and maracas gives a Caribbean type global feel to it, and I wanted to tie a great mood to this song because it is also a song of celebration. So wether your a woman, a mother, a civilian, a father, husband, or child, you will be able to relate to this song because of the independent women in your life.
